Bird on the Hill is thrilled to introduce Lindy, the creative force behind styling business “From Start to Vintage”.
Lindy lives in a gorgeous part of the world - Southern Tasmania in a century - plus old farmhouse that she is lovingly restoring with the aid of her husband, “Mr GGF”.
Lindy’s personal style is all about re-using and re-purposing vintage finds, and her trademark look includes elements of black combined within a predominantly neutral scheme with the occasional pop of colour. The theme is decidedly “Australian Farmhouse”, and I fell in love with her look when I first discovered her instagram profile, @our.vintage.farm around 18 months ago.
Even though Lindy already has some beautiful pieces she has painted in Black Cat, this month, as a Vintage Bird Paint Brand Ambassador, she will be choosing a few more vintage pieces to give a Black Cat make over to.
You can create a similar look to these gorgeous pieces using our Black Furniture Paint.
If you have furniture that is a little simpler in shape or form, or have a relatively new piece you would like to add some vintage charm to, adding elements like stencilling, vintage styled decor transfers or mouldings and appliqué can help you fake instant vintage style.
Why do we love our Black Catpaint so much?
The texture of this matt finish paint is silky and smooth.
Because of the premium acrylic base in our Furniture Paints, it’s self levelling, meaning that if you use a good quality brush, and are consistent with your technique, you will have a finished surface with minimal brush strokes, that doesn’t require sanding, and can be simply sealed with our Hemp Finishing Oil to provide a beautiful, durable and easy clean finish.
Watch your emails for updates on our collaboration with Lindy, and some easy black paint projects you can complete.
